World Water Day is an annual event celebrated on 22nd March, worldwide. The day focuses attention on the importance of universal access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in developing countries. Of course this isn’t a direct association with unnecessary water loss in a laboratory in Cambridge, for example, but we only have so much fresh water to go around. This is something we feel that everyone is responsible for and we can all make a difference.
A huge part of what we do at Asynt is focussed upon sustainability solutions for the modern, responsible laboratory. We have developed some outstanding tools to help chemists in their efforts to reduce any detrimental effect on the environment through their work, including DrySyn – our oil-free heating block system, and CondenSyn – the waterless air condensers. We’re not stopping there though! Product development is constant and we strive to bring the best, most responsible and effective apparatus possible, to you.
Water saving tools such as CondenSyn are so simple to set up, offer a really safe way of working, are low cost, and users not only work with a clear conscience that they’re doing their bit, but also don’t have to worry about pressure changes in their building’s water supply or loose connections/split pipes flooding their fume hood or indeed their entire laboratory. Risk assessments are therefore much easier to carry out and set up of works is fast! There are also huge savings to be made for your university or company as water bills can be dramatically reduced. Those funds can then be better used elsewhere.
Still not convinced? Find out about the “light bulb moments” real chemists share about the CondenSyn when they’ve tried them in their lab! Click the “Evaluations” tab on the product data to read their feedback…
