As part of the production of BioFocus’ SoftFocus® libraries, chemists analyse the thermal stability of multiple samples. The process can be labour intensive, involving manual transfer of samples from the UPLC autosampler onto an offline heat source, and back again after prolonged heating.
In conjunction with Chemists at Asynt, a new, efficient method was designed using a custom made heating block with locators and format to fit the UPLC autosampler as well as an offline heating tray compatible with a hotplate stirrer.
This solution has improved the process, reducing manual transfer of vials and allowing accurate heating of samples off line.
