Asynt regularly ships laboratory equipment to dozens of countries over six continents (we’re working on Antarctica!). As a result, our logistics team work with customs on a daily basis and have all the latest information to hand.
No duties on UK-origin goods to the EU
The European Union represents a significant proportion of our international market. Post-Brexit the UK and EU have renegotiated their trade relationship, resulting in a deal with no duties on UK origin goods (which includes most Asynt products) when delivered to an EU country.
If you are based in the EU and purchasing goods from Asynt you may be charged a small handling fee for the shipment by customs however this is quick and easy to pay. You may also be charged VAT but you can easily claim this back through your business in the normal manner.

“We ship overseas, including to the European Union, on a daily basis. Some of our customers have expressed concern that the process of shipping from the UK to the EU may be complicated after Brexit but this isn’t the case at all.
The process is really simple and deliveries to the EU are duty free when shipping UK origin products.

Beyond the EU, customs and import duty is dependant upon your country’s trade deal with the UK. If you’d like to know more about these trade deals, you can find more information HERE on the UK Government website.
What if I’m in the USA or Canada?
The information above does not include shipping within the USA and Canada as this is handled by our USA based office, Asynt Inc. As a result there will be no customs duties for internal shipments within the USA. For more on this please contact [email protected] or call 502-593-0726.
